You know what's uncomfortable and un-fun?
When 1 of the guys who works in your office is going through a messy divorce and talks about it all the time very loudly and angrily at work, mostly with the girl who works in the office with whom he is having an affair and reportedly engaged to.
Especially when you just want to eat lunch in the break room and read the comics, for crying out loud.
You know what else is awkward and un-fun?
When guys ask women "Are you really married?"
What sort of response are you looking for?
Any way you look at it, it's really unpleasant.
Either the woman is not married and told you she was because she does not want you to know she's available; she IS married and you just established yourself as the creep who is not beyond macking on a married lady; or she's a nut job / pathological liar.
Cripes.
