Since many people (everyone I know) won't be able to make it to 2008 derby finals this weekend, I figured I would give people a teaser.
1. We made trophies for 3rd & 4th place. That means the only team without a trophy will be the 2nd place team. Here's hoping that's the Res Dolls! If it's the Quad Squad who ends up without any sort of trophy, I will feel a little bad. Just a little.
2. We have been trying to talk the VVs into doing a joint intro or some other sort of shenanigans for a month now. But since they have a had a heartbreaking season (they beat the Res Dolls and then came within 1 point of beating the QS) they aren't really digging our "let's just have fun!" attitude, and we understand. However, we DID get them to agree that during the last jam (barring a less than 10 point difference in the score) when the whistle blows instead of skating, the lights go down, the disco balls turn on, and we all slow dance to Careless Whisper.
